Frequently asked questions
What counts as a tenant?
An Azure Active Directory tenant (your Entra ID directory). Most organizations have one. If you manage separate tenants for different customers or business units, each counts separately.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — all plans include a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. Tenant Discovery runs on day one so you have real data immediately.
What does "human-in-the-loop" mean in practice?
Every mutating Azure operation — create, update, delete — requires your explicit approval before it runs. You see the exact CLI command, the rationale behind it, and its risk level. High-risk steps are gated individually. You can approve, deny, or modify. Nothing runs without you.
How is Stratoscope different from Azure Advisor?
Azure Advisor surfaces recommendations. Stratoscope closes the loop — it proposes remediation plans, gets your approval, executes the fix, watches for regression, and verifies the fix held. It also ingests your own architecture docs and runbooks so recommendations are informed by your context, not just Azure defaults.
Where does my data live?
Console SaaS runs on Azure Container Apps in Azure Commercial (not Azure Government). Enterprise customers can deploy the agent inside their own VNet (BYOA) so inventory data never leaves their environment.
Does Stratoscope support Azure Government?
Not yet. Current support is Azure Commercial only. Azure Government is on the roadmap.
